How It
All Started
Yorkshire Activity Centre, established in 2017 by Ben Bellwood, is a premier destination for outdoor adventure enthusiasts. With over 20 years of experience in the outdoor activity business, Ben has created a unique facility that offers a diverse range of activities including archery, axe throwing, clay pigeon shooting, crossbow shooting, and quad biking.
His journey began with instructing outdoor activities, which inspired his passion for outdoor pursuits. Furthermore, Ben's background includes service in the armed forces, specifically in special forces training, which has contributed to his expertise in safety and skill development in outdoor activities.
Before founding Yorkshire Activity Centre, Ben played an instrumental role in setting up and managing another activity centre. Unfortunately, he faced challenges due to unfulfilled promises from that company, ultimately prompting his decision to move on. Determined to create a better experience for adventurers, he established Yorkshire Activity Centre with a vision of excellence.
In 2025, we expanded our facilities by acquiring the North of England Clay Target Centre, furthering our commitment to providing world-class shooting experiences in Yorkshire.

Did quad biking today, the course was amazing, muddy, steep hills, chance to go fast and very friendly and fun instructors Ben and JP. We've done a few different quad biking courses in the area and this was definitely the best.
